POWER. PURPOSE.
OUR VOTE.

Our mission is to empower, educate, and mobilize Black men to build lasting change in our communities. Because progress for Black Americans has never been handed to us. It’s been fought for in the streets, in the courts, and at the ballot box. And it takes all of us showing up, every election, to make our voices heard and our power felt.

What We Do

Welcome to
Black Men Vote

A smiling man with a beard and braids wearing a navy sweater with a patriotic 'VOTED' button on his chest.

We are a national movement building the civic and political power of Black men. We meet Black men where they are, turning awareness into action and action into lasting influence. Our work has reached millions and always treats Black men not as targets to persuade, but as partners and leaders in shaping American democracy.

Our Mission

What We Do

Black Men Vote equips Black men with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to turn civic participation into lasting power. Find out more about our four core program areas below.

  • A smiling young man with a backpack at a voter education and registration event, with a voting booth and a flag in the background.

BMV meets Black men where they are and registers them to vote.

  • A smiling man with a beard and wearing a volunteer badge, holding a clipboard, in front of a background with the words 'Community Organizing' in bold yellow-green letters, overlaid on a blurred outdoor scene.

We mobilize our communities to build power that endures.

  • A man with dreadlocks holding a sticker that says "I VOTED TODAY" against a blue background with yellow text that reads "RESEARCH & ADVOCACY."

BMV advocates on the issues that impact Black men and communities most.

  • Black man and woman in business attire smiling, standing back to back with arms crossed, with the word 'PARTNERSHIP' in bold yellow letters on a blue background.

We partner with grassroots and national networks to drive lasting change.
