BLACK MEN VAX
Based on historical events surrounding vaccines and the experimentation on the Black community, (most notably the “Tuskegee Experiment”) there are valid concerns amongst the Black community about accepting vaccines. Additionally, the current healthcare system ignores, mistreats and disenfranchises the Black community nationally. These fears and poor community health conditions have allowed Covid-19 to decimate and disproportionally affect Black communities. Certain members of the Black community who do want to take the vaccine aren’t receiving it, due in part to disparities in access to medical facilities, technology barriers and travel distances to vaccine distribution sites.
